Biography

Sarah is originally from Lancaster, PA, and came to Oldfields following a year of urban education training in Boston. She loved her hometown’s scenic fields and attended Gettysburg College, where she received her degree in history and her secondary social studies certification. She is now also certified in Maryland. After Gettysburg, she moved to Jamaica Plain, MA, where she worked at MATCH public charter middle school as a librarian, student advisor, and educator. She loved being an advisor, which is one of the things that led her to the Oldfields family. With a knack for planning fun and unique activities on and off campus, Sarah is the ideal Director of Weekend Activities. Sarah also is a tennis coach in addition to teaching history and psychology.

Sarah is also a dorm parent, and students can often smell fresh baked cookies as they walk by her door, as she is a fabulous baker and cake decorator! She lives with her two corgis, Imhotep and Ankhesenamun.
