Physics Honors I
Physics Honors I is an algebra-based, introductory college-level physics course. It is a full-year course oriented to prepare students for the study of physics in college and for the AP exam in Physics. This course explores topics such as: Newtonian mechanics applied to linear, circular, and harmonic motion; work, energy, and power; mechanical waves and sound; and introductory, simple circuits in electricity. This course requires instructional time in hands-on laboratory work. Students practice solving problems, answering multiple choice questions, and writing laboratory reports.
